Dancers age 7 and up may also opt to audition for The Nutcracker. Roles are available for all candidates.
Students in the Lower School can expect to receive visits from dancers in the Upper School during our "Big Sister" Events.
And the young aspiring dancers in the Lower School always receive free tickets to MetroWest Ballet stage productions.
Recognizing that performance is a component of dance education, MetroWest Ballet holds two major performances each year, including The Nutcracker and a Spring Concert, as well as several community performance events throughout the year. Students in the Upper School have the opportunity to participate in all of these events. It is not mandatory, however.
Please Note: Teaching technique is a priority. Therefore, students opting to perform in The Nutcracker must agree to rehearse outside of class time as not to interfere with the class curriculum, and the Spring Concert is a demonstration of the elements of training rather than a showcase of elaborate costumes and choreography.
Lower School Dancers wear regular dress code for in studio events.
Elementary and Intermediate Levels The Spring Concert is a demonstration of elements of training rather than elaborate costumes. Parents may need to purchase a new leotard and simple skirt for the performance. Costume fee is minimal; $20 - $50 depending on the students involvement.
Intermediate and Advanced Levels MetroWest Ballet has a costume department filled with beautiful costumes. Dancers may only be asked to submit a fee for cleaning. To view some of the costumes, please check our photo page.
